LATEST IMAGES - ALASKA21

Except for the bears at Silver Salmon, we saw very few other animals during our trip to Alaska. We did get a brief glimpse of a Moose crossing the Glenn Highway late one evening. It was the Moose hunting season apparently which obviously didn't help but for most Alaskan's when isn't it hunting time! On our last morning we visited Kincaig Park on the outskirts of Anchorage near the airport and we were pleasantly surprised to come across a young bull Moose as well as a mother and calf. The images of the bull were taken from the car with a wide angle lens! As it was rutting time, we didn't think it was wise to get out of the car as these huge members of the deer family can be quite aggressive.
