Beach Stone-curlew were on our list to see and photograph and we eventually came across a pair at the mouth of the Mossman River. They were quite wary and soon walked away from us but thankfully we did manage a few shots and  viewed their amazingly large bill. Brown Falcons, and we came across quite a few, seemed to be quite tolerant of us so it was good to be able to photograph them as they left and returned to the same perch.
