Guango Lodge on the east slopes of the Andes at 9,000 feet was our highest Lodge and the coldest! A bit of heat in the rooms to warm us up and dry the wet clothes wouldn't have gone a miss but we appreciated the hot-water bottles for our beds! The food was excellent and there were many birds to photograph including a new range of Hummingbirds and, yes, you have guessed it, we had another few sessions with the multi-flash set ups. We also spent quite a bit of time at the river lookouts searching for the elusive Torrent Duck, eventually we did come across the family party.
