Undoubtedly the best photographic encounter we had with the Orangutans during our recent rip to Indonesia was on the last morning when we went by speedboat up another river well away from the feeding sites normally visited by tourists. When we arrived a number of Orangutans came out of the forest and came very close to us obviously associating the boats with food. One climbed up an isolated tree and gave us the best images of the trip with light coming through its fur. When it climbed down it then went into the water very close to the boats again giving us some very unusual images. It was a privilege to see the Orangutans so close and in a much more natural habitat.
