Sulawesi was our next port of call, a three hour flight from Jakarta and then a two hour car journey to reach the far north east tip of this unusually shaped Island. The main attraction here are the two habituated groups of Crested Black Macaques, called Rambo 1 and 2. They are normally found quite close to the car park of the reserve and seem totally at ease in the presence of tourists. Within the forest the photography is challenging trying to capture black animals in the dark forest, especially when they are moving.  Thankfully they would sit down to rest at times and we were fortunate to find  a few of the group on the beach on the last morning.
