Our trip to Skokholm in May coincided with a full moon and clear skies so we didn't get to see or photograph the Manxies coming ashore. Thankfully there was a spare slot in July when there was no moon and the Northants Ringing Group were on the island. This meant we could photograph the Manx Shearwaters and Storm Petrels after they had been rung. A big thank you is due to the Northants Ringing Group for helping us with the  Storm Petrel photography. Being on the island when the shearwaters are coming ashore with their unique and eerie call must rank as one of the best wildlife experiences in the UK if not the world, a real privilege.
