LATEST IMAGES - SKOKHOLM7

We have seen Storm Petrels from boats and caught glimpses of them flying around their nests on Skokholm but never seen them at close quarters. We were privileged to be able to see and photograph them on our July trip to Skokholm. A big thank you to Richard, the warden, for his help and also to the Northants Ringing Group who very kindly let them go on a nice Skokholm rock. Trying to photograph these tiny dark birds in almost total darkness was certainly a challenge resulting in many non-usable images: bird had already flown, only half a bird in the frame, the ringer's hand still covering the bird, were a few of the reasons for failures, but hopefully there are a few reasonable images.
