SAVUTI

From Chobe River we moved to the Savuti area of Chobe National Park. This was probably the least productive area of our trip with tall grass making it very difficult to see the wildlife. However  it did provide the avian highlight of the trip when both a male and female Greater Painted Snipe came out into the open on a pond in lovely evening light. These are interesting waders as the female is the more brightly coloured of the pair. The pond was also good for other waders including a couple we are familiar with back in the UK.
