MOREMI
Moremi, within the Okavango Delta, was one of the best places we stayed during our trip to Botswana. The camp at night seemed to be surrounded by animals and we enjoyed 4 nights there. Hippos eating, Lions roaring (very close) and mice scrambling about. It was slightly unnerving but I am sure the tent canvas would have saved us from an attack! It was also a bit worrying when the guide is spot lighting the vegetation behind where we were eating just in case we had an unwelcome visitor. Lechwe were really the stars of Moremi. They are an antelope we hadn't seen before and when they ran and jumped across water in the wet areas they inhabit, they really came to life.
