We spent the first day of our recent trip to the Isle of Skye walking to Camasunary from the road to Elgol. It is a lovely walk which starts up hill but when you reach the top you are rewarded with the most magnificent view of the Cuillins. There are also views of the lesser viewed side of Blabheinn enhanced by a waterfall. On the beach at Camasunary there is a Bothy for the adventurous and evidence of a time when crops were grown near the beach. We explored some lochs behind the beach and wished we had time, and wellies, to cross the river so we could climb up the small mountain which, from the top supposedly, has the best views of the Cuillins.
