Having had bad weather for most of our two weeks on the Isle of Skye it was no surprise when the forecast was for warm and calm weather for the day we left and for the following week! Even though we had a long drive back I couldn't resist getting up a dawn and having an hour at the Quiraing. I didn't have time to walk very far so went south from the now extensive and paid car park for the view overlooking Loch Cleat and back to the Quiraing. The sky was too clear! Photographers are never happy but to be out at dawn in such a fabulous place with no wind was a real treat. Once the sun was up I moved to the lower car park and walked to Loch Cleat itself, something I hadn't done before, and thankfully there was at least some hint of reflections of the mountains in the Loch, a fine finish to our trip to the Isle of Skye.
