Of course the Gannets come to Bempton to breed and our timing coincided with the first fledging of this years chicks. Many of them were still a little way off leaving the nest and were still very white; they are black when they fledge. We were surprised with how many adults were bringing in nesting material, a case of continual repair no doubt.
