During our trip to Papua New Guinea we visited a feeding table at a very run down Lodge. The birds were great and used to the big bits of fruit put out for them but for photography it was very poor as the table was looking into the sun and had strong shade/sun streaking across it. There was no semblance of trying to hide the fruit or even cut it up into small pieces. Still I suppose you can't grumble too much when almost every bird that came down was a lifer! Many of them had fascinating names too. The next two pages show some of the better photos but none are great and could have been so much better with a tiny bit of preparation.
