Bird photography was our main emphasis during our recent trip to PNG but it was difficult not to be entranced by the culture of the country. We visited a village where we were treated to the Huli Wigmen dressing up in their bird of paradise headdresses and putting on their full face paint. The undoubted star was the oldest man who said he was 97 and had the most engaging smile.
