We have been lucky with the weather on our recent trips and Somerset was no different. There will come a time it will rain all week when we are away but fingers crossed it won't happen for a while. We spent a few hours most days in the Avalon hide and were rewarded with good views of Marsh Harriers quartering the reed beds. They are on the edge of the range for decent images even with a good camera, an 800mm lens and a decent crop but we enjoyed the challenge even if we didn't enjoy deleting the many rejected images quite so much. Bitterns are always on the list when visiting Ham Wall and we had three views although brief and one where we take a few images.
